What's that?

Do you want to surf, mail, exchange documents and use databases while on the road? You can with Telenet Hotspots.

When you are in a hotspot location you can continue working and communicating, just as if you were in the office, simply by using your own laptop, iPad or smartphone.

Locations:

You can find Telenet Hotspots in hotels, conference rooms, petrol stations, roadside restaurants, airports, train stations and other public locations.

With over 1,200 Telenet Hotspot locations in Belgium, there’s bound to be one near you when you need to access one.

With a Telenet subscription

Are you a Telenet internet customer?
Your Telenet Hotspot subscription is included. The account needs to be activated, which you can do at My Telenet.

With a Walk&Surf subscription. *

Your Telenet Hotspot subscription is included for 1 year. You will receive an email with your username and password within 24 hours after activation of your subscription.

Without a Telenet subscription

With a voucher
A voucher is a pre-paid card. You can purchase one at almost any Telenet Hotspot. Every voucher includes a username and a password that gives you access to the Telenet Hotspot network.

With a credit card
You can also purchase surf minutes via your credit card: different packages are available.

Via Roaming partners
Telenet has made agreements with various roaming partners. This means that you access the Telenet Hotspot network using the username and password from your own provider.

A WiFi mobile device
This includes all devices equipped with a WLAN card or built-in WiFi 802.11b/g. This could be a laptop, iPad or smartphone, for example.
An internet browser
Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla Firefox or any other browser that enables you to surf the Internet.
A username and a password
You receive these when you opt for Hotspots

Do you have a Telenet internet subscription? Hotspots are included with all internet subscriptions.
After your Hotspots subscription is activated in 'My Telenet', you can log in with your username or the email alias of the main user and the corresponding password.

Do you have a Walk&Surf 20 or 30 subscription?
You will receive an email with your username and password within 24 hours after activation of your subscription.

Not a Telenet internet customer yet? You can log in with a voucher, credit card or via our roaming partners. You will receive your username and password with your order.

What you need at the Telenet Hotspot location

You can log in as soon as you find a hotspot.
Go to 'My Network Connections'. Refresh the network list until TELENETHOTSPOT appears in the list, and select this network.
Type in any URL in your browser, and the Telenet Hotspot home page https://portal.telenethotspot.be will automatically appear.
Type in your username and password.
You are now connected to the Internet.

Starting 17/01/2011: When you subscribe to an internet product, you can gain free access to Telenet Hotspots. All you need to do is activate this option in My Telenet. The consumption at Telenet Hotspots is calculated within the volume of your subscription.
Telenet reserves the right to (temporarily) interrupt provision of the service if (1) Telenet is justified in its belief that the data transmission via our service is excessive (more than 2 gigabytes per month per user) or (2) that the service is being used for criminal or illegal activities.
